Theoretical and Applied Economics (TAE) / Economie teoretică și aplicată (ECTAP) is a publication edited by the General Association of the Economists in Romania (AGER) since 1994.

The journal is published quarterly, it has a multidisciplinary economic profile and it sets out to disseminate the theoretic and pragmatic results of scientific research in economy or in related domains.

Studies are published after undergoing a peer review process. The magazine does not charge any costs for either submission or publication of articles.

After publication the journal conforms to the BOAI definition of open access, with all content freely available without charge to the user or their institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.
